On January 24, 2019, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly issued Executive Order 19-03 creating the Governor’s Council on Education. The Council has a goal of increasing prosperity and well-being for Kansans by providing quality education from early learning through postsecondary attainment.
The Governor's Council on Education brings together stakeholders in the education, child welfare, labor, advocacy, and the businesses community to improve our schools, enhance workforce development, and stimulate economic growth in Kansas.
Kansas Governor Laura Kelly established the Advantage Kansas Coordinating Council in March 2021 to help align education with state agencies and business needs.
