The University of Kansas' new admission standards are effective in summer 2016.  The five other state universities will not use KU's summer 2016 standards to evaluate applicants for admission.

Approved Qualified Admissions Curriculum

The Kansas Board of Regents, in consultation with the Kansas State Department of Education, using the Kansas Course Code system, has identified secondary courses that meet precollege curriculum requirements.  Approved courses are listed by subject area: English, Math, Natural Science, Social Science and electives.

2012-2013 Academic Year
The courses listed below meet Qualified Admissions curriculum  requirements during the 2012-2013 academic year or later.  The course list has been updated from academic year 2011-2012, and the updates generally expand rather than limit the course list.  However, in some instances courses, primarily electives, were dropped from the list.  Any course dropped from the list will fulfill a student's Qualified Admission curriculum requirements if the course was on the 2011-2012 list and taken by the student in the academic year 2012-2013.  If you have questions, please contact Jean Redeker at jredeker@ksbor.org.
