Regents thank K-State President Richard Myers for his service

(Topeka, Kan.) – Kansas Board of Regents Chair Bill Feuerborn issued the following statement thanking Kansas State University President Richard Myers after his retirement announcement:

On behalf of the Regents, I thank President Myers for his service to Kansas State University. He guided the university through a time of substantial change for higher education and helped successfully implement several significant initiatives. K-State has greatly benefitted from his outstanding leadership and dedication to serving students and the state of Kansas. The Regents wish him all the best in retirement.

 

The Board will discuss a search for the next president of K-State in the coming months.

The nine-member Kansas Board of Regents is the governing board of the state’s six universities and the statewide coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions (six state universities, one municipal university, nineteen community colleges, and six technical colleges).
