The State University Council of Presidents includes the chief executive officers for Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas University, Kansas State University, Pittsburg State University, and Wichita State University. The chief executives meet monthly prior to each meeting of the Kansas Board of Regents. The State University Council of Presidents considers items of interest to the institutions and acts on proposals prior to their going to the Board of Regents for consideration.
